I’ve tried every which way to install. sometimes the actions go into the right Omni folder and sometimes they don’t but never work either way. I’ve manually installed. - nothing
I’ve uninstalled then manually installed then uninstalled then auto installed.
same thing every time - nothing
as I said I give up unless anyone can show me one last time what I may be doing wrong. It looks a great program. otherwise I am going back to my A4 desk diary.
no one with any ideas? ok
no one with any ideas? ok then I’ll dump it
You really didn't provide
You really didn’t provide enough info for anyone to help you. How do you know kGTD didn’t install? When you open up OmniOutliner after installing it’s going to look the same regardless of whether of the install succeeded or not. Did you follow the steps to add the icons to your interface? What version of OmniOutliner are you using? Which startup file are you using?
Also, it’s generally a bad idea to post “I’ll quit if no one helps me” messages. Then following up with “OK, I quit” three hours later. This gives people on the board the general impression a) What a git. and b) Good riddance.
frustration I think - no
frustration I think - no need for you to be rude though is there Roger? More inclined for me to think what git you are. I wasn’t rude to anyone. I followed all instructions everywhere. why repeat it?
you know Roger all the
you know Roger all the installation instructions suggest going to custom vie and adding the kinkless actions. surely my post that implies following said instructions suggests that I may have tried this? I reiterate - I have followed all installation instructions to the letter! and my post stated this.
new
actually your post tells us very little so it’s really difficult to help.
perhaps if you detailed what you have done, etc. we could try to make it work for you.

I think it says the person
I think it says the person followed the installation instructions. as in the installations instructions. I don’t know enough about it to help though. sorry
One thing that was not
One thing that was not appearent to me at first after I downloaded the .dmg and installed kGTD was that I needed to use one of the included “sample” kGTD Outliner documents. The Kinkless action scripts won’t do anything to a “standard” Outliner document. The sample docs have the styles, etc built into them that allow the scripts to work.
Once I opened my choice of the sample docs and started exploring it, I was able to start understanding how kGTD worked in combination with Outliner.

The first place to check is
The first place to check is the Installation Troubleshooting Page. Give that a shot, if you are still stuck, please post back and we can tackle things again.
I found that a previous
I found that a previous installation (Virtual PC) had created ~/Library/Scripts/Applications but that it was owned by root - therefore the kGTD installation script broke. I chowned ~/Library/Scripts/Applications to be owned by me, and installation worked fine. HtH
great product by the way!
