I played with http://pilot-db.sourceforge.net/ a while ago, and it seems promising. It is a very flexible database program, which reminds me quite a bit of omni outliner.
I’m just throwing this idea out there — maybe we should build a conduit so that we can sync directly from the kgtd to a palm database — rather than from kgtd to ical to palm.
Pilot-db also has the advantage of supporting contexts and projects.
I’d love to hear your thoughts.

A conduit might be good.
I’ve been test driving kGTD and I love it. I can’t believe it’s free. (Well, I *will* have to buy OOP) :)
Anyway, unless I’m mistaken, a conduit (via iSync or otherwise) would allow the synchronization to happen AND maintain the category assignment from the palm.
For some reason, I’m thinking I would want my tasks to show up in iCal as well… but I’d give that up and chip in a few bucks if I could sync back and forth between my palm and kGTD while maintaining categories and priorities.
Does the fact that the palm
Does the fact that the palm OS might be non existent in a couple of years affect the desire to work on this. Palm just released a Windows based handheld and I hadn’t heard any word that they were planning to support both.
Sorry admin,i tested your blog:)

Palm OS
It’s my impression that Palm is trying to expand into Windows devices not migrate away from PalmOS.
Just my 2 cents.
I've been worried about
I’ve been worried about palm. I’ve heard rumors that the company is having internal problems. The OS for my treo seems like it was a rushed project, with lots of UI problems.
Palm Database & KGTD
I would love to see a conduit to the Palm OS. I think Palm is a better, more flexible product than iCal.

I’d vote for Palm conduit!
I’d vote for Palm conduit! Palm is the Apple of PDA’s. Window’s blows. KGTD is the best. A conduit is a natural.
