I disabled iCal syncing by deleting the relvant row in the KGTD Settings and now when I sync or rebuild I get told that ‘error on meta_settings_icalsync’ in a popup window.

I can dismiss the dialog by cicking ‘OK’ and the sync proceeds normally.

Have I disabled iCal syncing incorrectly?

this is a bug in 0.75. if, instead of deleting that row, you change its value to “false” (no quotes) you should be ok. I’ll fix that in the next release.

error on meta_settings_icalsync

I’m experiencing this same error upon upgrading to 0.75… I changed my “iCal sync settings” to ‘false’ as ethan suggests, but the error does not go away - is there another possible solution?

For clarity, I’m changing this setting in KGTD Settings->Synchronization Settings->iCal sync settings->false

Thanks.

iCal Sync Bug Fix

Hi All,

I also had the iCal sync bug when I tried changing the settings on the KGTD Settings > Synchronization Settings area.

I was not able to get the KGTD to sync with iCal so I click on some of the checkboxes and added a few fields to the “iCal sync settings” area for a few other contexts. After that, no matter what I did I received the error message ‘error on meta_settings_icalsync’ when trying to rebuild or to sync.

In order to fix the problem open one of the files that came with KGTD. I used the sample file with dates. Open the KGTD Settings area. Highlight the ‘Synchonization Settings’ area and copy. Paste that into your regular file, replacing the old one.

After this, the error message is gone. Unfortunately, my calendar still doesn’t sync, but at least I don’t have the error message :)
